Cultural trip to the museum
The Orbec Vieux Manoir Municipal Museum showcases collections of popular arts and traditions. Headdresses, clothing, furniture, ceramics and everyday objects reveal the way of life in the Pays d’Auge and are put into perspective with prints and paintings evoking regional customs and traditions.

A wildlife conservation centre
In the shade of the apple trees across 3 hectares, La Dame Blanche Animal Park invites you to discover or rediscover European animal species. Kids love it. Here, they learn how to easily distinguish between a red deer, a roe deer and a fallow deer. They will also discover the cunning fox, so often disparaged, the exceptional ploughing boar as well as many other animals.
Discover a spring
The Orbiquet spring is the resurgence of an underground karst network. Its flow makes it one of the most high-pressure Vaucluse springs in France. The spring feeds the Orbiquet, a category 1 river, prized by fly anglers for fishing trout. Comprising the remains of an old mill, a wash-house and a restored press house, this Sensitive Natural Area located in La Folletière-Abenon is freely accessible.
Discover the secrets of mushroom growing
By the 20th century, the tunnels of the Orbec stone quarry had become disused for the first time since the Middle Ages. A mushroom farm was set up. Since then, they have been growing the famous button mushrooms (1 tonne of button mushrooms per week!) but also oyster mushrooms and shiitake mushrooms. Don’t miss this troglodyte tour of Normandy’s last working mushroom cave! Products are sold directly on site.
Visit a family-run distillery
The Roger Groult Distillery, less than 20 minutes from Lisieux, has been a family business for 5 generations. The 23-hectare estate, with more than 5,600 apple trees, produces a quality Calvados using traditional methods.
