Domaine des Essarts

Located between Lisieux, Livarot and Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives, the Domaine des Essarts welcomes you all year round on its 20 hectares of organically grown orchards spread out on the sunny slopes of the Vallée de la Vie. The surprising architecture of the family farm perfectly combines the tradition of the Pays d'Auge and modernity. It is with pleasure that Dana Lerner will give you information on the different and interesting stages of the work; from planting to orchard tending to harvest, and of course the transformation of organic apples into that unique, sparkling, bittersweet drink we call cider. At the end of the visits, offer to taste apple juice, cider or calvados produced on site. Picnic and shop on site.
