The City of Lisieux continues its outdoor cultural program with a new guest artist as part of the Expos du Jardin program. From September 13 to October 5, 2025, the Jardin de l'Évêché will host the works of Philippe Pousset for an exhibition entitled "Sculpte avec le vent".
Philippe Pousset has been a sculptor and furniture designer since 2008, drawing his inspiration from the raw material of wood and the traces left by time. Each piece - be it a stump, an old post or dead wood - becomes the starting point for an intimate dialogue between the artist and nature. His unique, organic works draw on human and animal curves, wear and erosion, as well as tribal and Celtic symbols. Between intuition and know-how, he always sculpts several pieces at a time, letting the material guide his gestures. In his quest for fluidity and simplicity, he gives wood a new lease of life, combining emotion, natural power and a poetic eye.
