The restoration of the Petit Moulin has been completed, and it now becomes a venue for exhibitions and meetings.
To bring the place to life, this summer a young Orbecquois is in the spotlight at the Petit Moulin d'Orbec.
At the age of 21, François Lemancel set off alone around the world by bicycle.
For 4 years and 8 months, he rode off the beaten tourist track through the deserts of southern Africa at +40° to Mongolia at -40°.
Over 50 stunning photos and a travel diary recount his itinerary and encounters.
On show at Le Petit Moulin d'Orbec, from July 5 to September 29 15 rue Saint-Pierre -14290 Orbec, France
Come and meet François Lemancel - Saturday July 5 at 6pm
The Petit Moulin d'Orbec also features a guided tour of the permanent exhibition "L?âge d?or des moulins de la vallée de l?Orbiquet au XIXème siècle" (The golden age of mills in the Orbiquet valley in the 19th century), and a demonstration of how Ernest Jules Bollée?s water-raising machine spits water into the river reach.
