Musical theatre for three chairs and twelve legs:
Two children in the forest, a house made of gingerbread and candy cane, and an ogress witch.
The three musician-actors from the Ubique collective from Normandy need very little to create their own version of the Grimm brothers' tale. Or rather: three times four nothings... A dozen old-fashioned instruments (lute, theorbo, violin...), with strange flavours (kalimba, xiao...), a musical saw to slice up the fairy tale. The twelve feet of the alexandrine that they fold and fold again like puff pastry. And the three times four legs of the chairs where they exercise their gift of ubiquity, twirling their voices and gestures. As if on the trestles of a rhythmic theatre, dancing with words, noises
and music...
