The Union Marcophile and the Cercle Philatélique Lexovien, with the support of Lisieux Town Council and partners such as La Poste Group, Delcampe, and the Centre Leclerc in Lisieux, are organising the 50th edition of Marcophilex on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October 2025!
This year, the 50th Marcophilex will welcome the Académie de philatélie, the Association of Post-Stamped Envelope Collectors (ACEP), the Association of Franking Machine Imprint Collectors (ACEMA), the study group on stamps, postmarks and the postal history of territories that were formerly under French rule or are now French (COL.FRA.), the National Federation of La Poste and Orange Associations for Historical Research (FNARH), the Society of Friends of the La Poste Museum (SAMP) and Philapostel.
Stamp dealers (12 in total), specialising in postal history, will be in attendance. La Poste Group is supporting the event with a temporary post office within the exhibition grounds, a special temporary postmark and a LISA postage label dedicated to the event and the town of Lisieux. Visitors will be able to post their mail there and also purchase philatelic souvenirs published by the Cercle Philatélique Lexovien.
The design of the postage label features the Basilica of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, an internationally renowned monument. The date stamp, meanwhile, combines this iconic image with the half-timbered houses that survived the fires of 1944, which were the other feature for which the town was renowned in the early 20th century; at that time, Lisieux was known as ‘The Capital of Wood Carving’.
Marcophilex will take place at two venues: the Espace Saint-Jacques, which will host the exhibition and the fair in a historic setting, and, in the immediate vicinity, the Espace Victor Hugo and its meeting rooms, which will host the various events.
The theme of this 50th Marcophilex is: ‘The letter: a means of communication, conveying stories and emotions.’
