Waste: a raw material for creativity? I invite you to discover papier-mâché and upcycling at the heart of my artist’s studio. Using paper and recycled materials, you’ll learn how to transform, shape, assemble and breathe new life into existing objects. Lightweight, malleable and surprisingly strong, papier-mâché lends itself to all manner of experimentation and opens the door to an almost limitless imagination. I’ll share with you my techniques, tips and a few secrets acquired over more than thirty years of practice. The workshop also offers a fresh perspective on what we call ‘rubbish’: understanding the difference between recycling, reusing and upcycling, discovering why I favour certain techniques, and experimenting with a creative project that makes the most of recycled materials. No prior experience is required. Everyone works at their own pace in a small group, which allows for personalised guidance, discussion and creativity. Choose from two options: 2 hours or 3 hours. Materials provided. Ages 10 and over. Maximum of 5 people per workshop. Booking required.
