29 May 2026 from 18:00 to 19:00 Cambremer Town Hall Description The Association des Amis de l'Eglise Saint Denis de Cambremer - AESDC - invites you to a fascinating lecture by Madame Marie Casset on the theme: "Rendezvous at Cambremer in the Middle Ages". Friday 29 May from 6 to 7 pm in Cambremer church. Marie Casset has a doctorate in medieval history, is an honorary lecturer and an associate member of the Centre Michel-de-Boüard - CRAHAM (CNRS) at the University of Caen Normandy, a reference laboratory for medieval archaeology and history in Normandy. Her work focuses mainly on : * seigneurial life in western France (particularly in Normandy) * castles and manor houses (particularly episcopal residences) * the landscaping of seigneurial estates * the table and diet of the aristocracy (including orchards, apples and cider) * the relationship between peasants and coastal environments (in particular the conquest of land by the sea around the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel). His main works include * Les Évêques aux champs. Châteaux et manoirs des évêques normands au Moyen Âge (XIe-XVe siècles) ; * From apples to cider. Les premiers temps en Normandie et ailleurs (Ier-XVIe siècle).
