Description
Every day, visitors can take a 20-minute tour of the château's history and architecture. On this occasion, discover the contemporary installation by the artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot, in partnership with the FRAC Normandie, and as part of Normandie Impressionniste.
For the grounds of the Château de Saint-Germain-de-Livet, the artist has designed a unique pair of sound swings topped by a cowbell. The public are invited to swing on them, in harmony with the surrounding landscape. The bells, diverted from their original function, become a jubilant sound object. The artist also evokes the dream of humans flying like birds.
