Les promenades musicales du Pays d'Auge 32e Edition : La harpe, le philtre et l’épée

Grand Bois de Sainte-Marie, 14270 Mézidon Vallée d'Auge

Description

3PM-3.30PM: LECTURE Damien de Carné, professor of medieval literature, gives a relaxed yet learned lecture on the troubadours and trouvères who sang of Tristan's desires between the 12th and 14th centuries. Free with concert ticket, by prior arrangement. 4pm: Concert The name given to these young, award-winning musicians refers to what "deflects evil", something the Middle Ages needed as much as our own time. The rest is a matter of visceral emotion: the timbres of the fiddle, the lute, the flute as if enchanted and that voice of trance and shudder, everything here is profoundly strange and incredibly modern. If we had just one trip left to make, we'd swap all the glittering islands for the church of Sainte-Marie-aux-Anglais and its incredible medieval murals, which seem to be waiting for us out of this world. We'll go together, armed with the talent of ApotropaïK's musicians as a talisman against ill winds, rogue waves and unhappy loves.
