Discover the industrial heritage of the 19th century. Through the story of this mill’s restoration, discover the cultural, natural and industrial heritage of the Orbiquet Valley. A tour to learn about the river’s biodiversity and, over time, the various ways in which human societies have used water. On the programme: - Demonstration of the water-lifting machine: During the demonstration, the mechanism engages, the water-lifting machine designed by Ernest Bollée in 1883 starts up, and the pumps send jets of water shooting up just as they did in the days when it supplied 30 public fountains in Orbec.  - The permanent exhibition ‘The Golden Age of the Orbiquet Mills’ traces the economic and social role of the mills in the valley during the 19th century, complemented by temporary exhibitions and videos on the restoration work. - On request, a screening of the documentary (26 mins) “Moulins, sauve qui peut”
